BENT IN THE WRONG DIRECTION by Bob Gass

The LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:6

Iniquity means "to be bent or inclined toward." The Bible says, "Lot . . . pitched his tent toward Sodom" (Genesis 13:12). It proved to be a fatal attraction. He lost everything he'd spent his life working for, including his family, because he leaned the wrong way. It works like this: you sow a thought and you reap a deed, you sow a deed and you reap a habit, you sow a habit and you reap a character, you sow a character and you reap a destiny.

When you give into certain inclinations, you're hooked. I've been there! You
can get hooked on sex, food, alcohol, drugs, and a lot of other things. The good news is: Jesus came to get you off the hook.

Iniquity means to be bent, but Jesus came to straighten you out, and He's
only waiting for your permission to do it. If you're tired of fighting those inner drives and inclinations, let Him have your life. He'll say to you what He said to Isaiah, "And thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged" (Isaiah 6:7)

Don't wait - do it today.
